Biography
Dr. Constantine Dimitrakakis recieved his Ph.D. degree at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is currently an associate Professor Athens University Medical School, Athens, Greece. He has published (over 70 articles in PubMed Journals) mainly on the breast, laboratory and clinical studies on hormone therapy and breast cancer. Clinically based research on the role of androgens on breast cancer risk. Active member of the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR). Member of NIH FARE (fellow’s awards of research excellence) He is a Member of EUSOMA, EMAS, ESC and Greek Societies President of Greek Gynecologic Society of Breast Diseases (EGEPAM) Member of the Bioethics Committee of the Greek Ministry of Health Reviewer in noumerous scientific journals (The Breast, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, BioMed Central journals etc.) Over 10 International Awards and numerous International Collaborations
Research Interest
Laboratory and clinically based breast research at the NIH, USA. Focus on the effects of Hormone Therapy on breast cancer risk and possible modifications of it.
